Raiders reel in Rhodes

03/09/2007 - Alameda, CA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Oakland Raiders have agreed to terms with free agent running back Dominic Rhodes.
The Raiders did not confirm terms to The Sportsbook Betting Lines, but various media outlets have reported the deal to be worth $7.5 million for two years.
Rhodes, who ran for 113 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 29-17 Super Bowl XLI win over Chicago in February, joins a going list of running backs to change teams this offseason.
Rhodes ran for 641 yards and five touchdowns last season, his sixth in the league. He started all 16 regular-season games, but split time in the backfield with Joseph Addai, who started all three postseason contests.
For his career, Rhodes has run for 2,274 yards and 19 touchdowns, while also tallying 649 yards and a score receiving.
Rhodes was arrested earlier this offseason for driving under the influence and became a free agent on March 2. It is likely he will split time in the Oakland backfield with LaMont Jordan, who is rebounding from a knee injury that cut his 2006 season short.
In addition to Rhodes, Willis McGahee, Jamal Lewis, Thomas Jones, Ahman Green and Tatum Bell are among those running backs who have shifted to new cities this winter. McGahee was traded from Buffalo to Baltimore, Lewis signed with Cleveland, Green signed with Houston and Bell was sent from Denver to Detroit.
